A/C Pipe

  1. Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>REFRIGERANT RECOVERY PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the battery and battery tray. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the bumper face - front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the radiator assembly. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (HEV))>RADIATOR>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the hose - pressure discharge. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>HOSE AND PIPE>REMOVAL>HIGH-PRESSURE HOSE .
  6. Remove the pipe - return assembly. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>HOSE AND PIPE>REMOVAL>RETURN PIPE .
  7. Remove the pipe - sensor.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not apply excessive force to the pipe.
    • Seal the engaging parts of the disconnected pipe, expansion valve - heater assembly, and air conditioner unit with plugs or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering.
    • Do not pull the harness and cable forcibly.
    1. Disconnect the connector of the pressure sensor.
    2. Remove the bolt and release the claw, then remove the bracket - HV air conditioning wire.
    3. Disconnect the upper connector of the engine control module (ECM). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>REMOVAL ,
    4. Disconnect the main fuse box connector, and detach the harness from the clip.
    5. Release the claw and remove the engine harness bracket.

    6. Disconnect the battery cable assembly. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY CABLE ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
      NOTE: Disconnect the battery cable assemblies at the locations necessary for removing the pipe - sensor.
    7. Remove the bolt, nut, clamp, and clip, and remove the pipe -  sensor.
