CVTF Cooler (With Warmer Function): Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: If the CVTF and engine coolant is spilt over exhaust pipe, wipe it off with cloth to avoid emitting smoke or causing a fire.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the collector cover. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
  3. Drain engine coolant. Refer to COOLING (EXCEPT FOR STI)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the intercooler. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>INTERCOOLER>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the harness clip.

  6. Disconnect the engine coolant outlet hose, engine coolant inlet hose, CVTF inlet hose and CVTF outlet hose.

  7. Remove the CVTF inlet hose and CVTF outlet hose.

  8. Remove the engine coolant outlet hose.

  9. Remove the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).

  10. Remove the intake manifold, EGR valve, and the insulator. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>INTAKE MANIFOLD>REMOVAL . Refer to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>EGR CONTROL VALVE>REMOVAL .
  11. Remove the engine coolant inlet hose.
