Chain Cover: Removal

NOTE: When replacing a single part, perform the work with the engine assembly installed to body.
  1. When working on the vehicle
    NOTE: When working on the vehicle, perform the following steps also.
    1. Remove the radiator. Ref. to REMOVAL , Radiator.
    2. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Exhaust Pipe.
    3. Remove the engine mounting. Ref. to REMOVAL , Engine Mounting.
  2. Drain the engine oil. Ref. to REPLACEMENT , Engine Oil.
  3. Remove the V-belts. Ref. to REMOVAL , V-belt.
  4. Remove the crank pulley. Ref. to REMOVAL , Crank Pulley.
  5. Remove the oil cooler pipe from the chain cover.

  6. Remove the chain cover.
NOTE: Chain cover installation bolt has three different sizes. To prevent the confusion in installation, keep these bolts on container individually.
