Front Exhaust Pipe: Removal

CAUTION:
Vehicle components are extremely hot after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to
BATTERYNOTE: Repair Contents.
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover. Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Under Cover.
- Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector (A) and remove the clip (B) fastening the harness.
- Disconnect the rear oxygen sensor connector (C) and remove the bracket (D) and (E) fastening the harness.
- Remove the bolts, springs and nuts securing the rear exhaust pipe to the front exhaust pipe assembly.
- Remove the bolt which holds front exhaust pipe assembly to hanger bracket.
- Remove the nuts which hold front exhaust pipe assembly onto cylinder heads.CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the front exhaust pipe assembly.
- Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the vehicle body.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to let the front exhaust pipe assembly fall off when removing, since it is very heavy.
- After removing the front exhaust pipe assembly, do not apply excessive pulling force on the rear exhaust pipe.
