Extension Case: Assembly

Install the reverse check system. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Reverse Check Systems. >
Install the extension case oil seal. < Ref. to REPLACEMENT , Oil Seals. >
Using the ST, install the shifter arm shaft oil seal.

Install the oil plate.

Select the adjusting washer, and attach to the extension case. < Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , Extension Case. >
Install the taper roller bearing (extension case side) outer race to the extension case.
CAUTION: Apply transmission gear oil onto sliding or revolving surfaces before installation.
Install the shift bracket.
Tightening torque:

25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Attach the oil guide and the transfer drive gear. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Transfer Drive Gear. >
