Entertainment System: Audio: Removal

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. < Ref. to
BATTERY
, NOTE, Note. >NOTE: For the 12 volt engine restart battery of HEV model, disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor.
- Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver and the knee airbag module. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Knee Airbag Module. >
- Remove the glove box. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Glove Box. >
- Remove the center grille assembly. < Ref. to CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY , REMOVAL, Air Vent Grille. >
- Remove the audio assembly.
- On manual A/C models, disconnect the control cables from both sides of the heater & cooling unit.
- Attach the protective tape (a) to the cover - shift lever.
- Remove the bolts, release the claws, and partially pull out the audio assembly.NOTE:
- Release the claw by using a clip remover wrapped with protective tape.
- For models with telematics, if the antenna cable interferes with removal of the side mounting bolts, put aside the antenna cable as necessary.
- Disconnect the connectors, and remove the audio assembly.
- Remove the screws, and then remove the audio bracket.
