Oil Pump: Removal

- Disconnect ground cable from battery.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove undercover.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove radiator. < Ref. to REMOVAL , RADIATOR. >
- Remove crankshaft position sensor.
- Remove V-belts. < Ref. to REMOVAL , V-BELT. >
- Remove rear side V-belt tensioner.
- Remove crankshaft pulley by using ST.
ST 499977100 CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WRENCH
- Remove water pump. < Ref. to REMOVAL , WATER PUMP. >
- Remove timing belt guide. (MT vehicle)
- Remove crankshaft sprocket.
- Remove bolts which install oil pump onto cylinder block.CAUTION: To disassemble and check oil pump, loosen relief valve plug before removing the pump.
- Remove oil pump by using flat-bladed screw-driver.CAUTION: Be careful not to scratch mating surfaces of cylinder block and oil pump.
