Oil Pump: Removal

Disconnect ground cable from battery.

Lift-up the vehicle.
Remove undercover.

Lower the vehicle.
Remove radiator. < Ref. to REMOVAL , RADIATOR. >
Remove crankshaft position sensor.

Remove V-belts. < Ref. to REMOVAL , V-BELT. >
Remove rear side V-belt tensioner.

Remove crankshaft pulley by using ST.
ST 499977100 CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WRENCH

Remove water pump. < Ref. to REMOVAL , WATER PUMP. >
Remove timing belt guide. (MT vehicle)
Remove crankshaft sprocket.

Remove bolts which install oil pump onto cylinder block.
CAUTION: To disassemble and check oil pump, loosen relief valve plug before removing the pump.

Remove oil pump by using flat-bladed screw-driver.
CAUTION: Be careful not to scratch mating surfaces of cylinder block and oil pump.
