Water Pump: Removal

- Disconnect ground cable from battery.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove under cover.
- Drain engine coolant completely.

- Disconnect connectors from radiator main fan (A) and sub fan (B) motors.
- Disconnect radiator outlet hose and heater by pass hose from water pump.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove air intake duct.
- Disconnect overflow hose.
- Remove reservoir tank.
- Remove radiator main fan and sub fan assemblies. < Ref. to REMOVAL , RADIATOR MAIN FAN AND FAN MOTOR > and < Ref. to REMOVAL , RADIATOR SUB FAN AND FAN MOTOR. >
- Remove V-belts.

- Remove timing belt.
< Ref. to TIMING BELT , REMOVAL, TIMING BELT. >
- Remove automatic belt tension adjuster.
- Remove belt idler No. 2.
- Remove left-hand camshaft sprocket by using ST.
ST 18231AA010 CAMSHAFT SPROCKET WRENCH
NOTE: Camshaft sprocket wrench (499207100) is also available. - Remove left-hand belt cover No. 2.
- Remove tensioner bracket.
- Remove water pump.
