Oil Pan and Strainer: Removal

Set the vehicle on a lift.
Remove the front wheels.
Remove the collector cover.
Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

Disconnect the connector from mass airflow sensor.
Remove the air intake boot and air cleaner upper cover.

Remove the intercooler.

Remove the pitching stopper.

Remove the radiator upper brackets.

Support the engine with a lifting device and wire ropes.

Lift-up the vehicle.
CAUTION: When lifting up the vehicle, raise up wire ropes at the same time.
Remove the under cover.
Drain engine oil.
Remove the front exhaust pipe.

Remove the nuts which install front cushion rubber onto front crossmember.

Remove the bolts which install oil pan on cylinder block with the engine raised up.
Insert the oil pan cutter blade into the clearance between cylinder block and oil pan.
CAUTION: Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool in place of oil pan cutter.
Remove the oil strainer.
Remove the baffle plate.
