Oil Pan and Strainer: Removal

- Set the vehicle on a lift.
- Remove the front wheels.
- Remove the collector cover.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Disconnect the connector from mass airflow sensor.
- Remove the air intake boot and air cleaner upper cover.
- Remove the intercooler.

- Remove the pitching stopper.
- Remove the radiator upper brackets.
- Support the engine with a lifting device and wire ropes.
- Lift-up the vehicle.CAUTION: When lifting up the vehicle, raise up wire ropes at the same time.
- Remove the under cover.
- Drain engine oil.
- Remove the front exhaust pipe.

- Remove the nuts which install front cushion rubber onto front crossmember.
- Remove the bolts which install oil pan on cylinder block with the engine raised up.
- Insert the oil pan cutter blade into the clearance between cylinder block and oil pan.CAUTION: Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool in place of oil pan cutter.
- Remove the oil strainer.
- Remove the baffle plate.
