Adjust Soft Top - AR77.30-P-1010SRC

IMPORTANT Notes on soft tops   AH77.30-P-0001-01MCO 
  Adjust     
1 Remove side supports (8)    
2 Replace centering pins (9) of side supports (8) with centering pins shortened by approx. 30 mm (10)    
3 Fit end stops (9.1) of centering pins (9) onto shortened centering pins (10)    
4 Remove paneling from B-pillars   AR68.30-P-4700SRC
5 Adjust both bearings of side supports (8) on A- pillar   AR77.33-P-1008MCO 
6 Slightly open rear soft top IMPORTANT The retainer must remain engaged in the top position.  
7 Remove cover (3)    
8 Loosen bolts (2), center latches (1) and tighten bolts (2) once more    
9 Mark installation position of latches (1)    
10 Install side supports (8) IMPORTANT The side supports (8) must engage securely in the second catch and their seal must be in contact with the B-pillar.
If deviations are present

Align latch (1) in question
 
11 Loosen bolts (7), center both main bearings (6) and tighten bolts (7) once more    
12 Mark installation position of main bearings (6)    
13 Fold down retainer    
14 Fully open rear soft top    
15 Close rear soft top without interruption, until latches (5) are just in front of pins (4) IMPORTANT Helper required.
If you interrupt this movement, the main bearings (6) may be out of line.
If closing movement was interrupted.

repeat operation steps 14, 15
 
INSPECT Check     
16 Check position of catches (5) in relation to pins (4) and side supports (8) IMPORTANT The pins (4) must run centrally into the catches (5) and the guides (5.1) run securely into the side supports (8).  
    If deviations are present

Fold up retainer, align main bearings (6) or catches (1), and fold retainer down again
 
17 Fully open rear soft top    
18 Close rear soft top without interruption NOTES
In the event of a collision, interrupt closure of rear soft top immediately.
Otherwise soft top components can be damaged.
In the event of collision

Repeat operation steps 14 to 18
 
INSPECT Check     
19 Check height offset and clearance of rails (5.2, 8.1) NOTES
There must not be any height offset. Otherwise the sliders can be damaged.
IMPORTANT Make sure rails (5.2, 8.1) on both sides of the vehicle have approximately the same clearance.
If deviations are present

Fold up retainer, align main bearings (6) or catches (1), and fold retainer down again
 
20 Fully open rear soft top    
21 Completely close soft top In the event of complaints

Adapt position as necessary
 
22 Check tension of folding roof In the event of complaints

23 Remove side supports (8)    
24 Tighten bolts (7) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, main bearing to B-pillar *BA77.33-P-1001-01SRC 
25 Install paneling on B-pillars   AR68.30-P-4700SRC
26 Replace centering pins (10) with centering pins (9)    
27 Fit end stops (9.1) on centering pins (9)    
28 Install side supports (8)
