| Remove | |||
| 1 | Remove door paneling at respective front door | AR72.18-P-1000SRA | |
| 2 | Remove side window | AR72.10-P-1961SRA | |
| 3 | Disconnect electrical connector at left front power window motor (M10/3) and/or right front power window motor (M10/4) | ||
| 4 | Remove left front power window motor (M10/3) and/or right front power window motor (M10/4) from window lifter (1) | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolts (2) | ||
| 6 | Drill off rivet heads of rivets (3) and remove window lifter (1) | Do not drill out rivet heads of rivets (3) too far. Door bodyshell (5) and/or window lifter (1) will otherwise be damaged and the damaged component part must be replaced. |

| 7 | Completely remove rivet residues and drilling chips from power window (1) | When reinstalling old power window (1). | |
| 8 | Remove rivet residues and shaving from front door | Completely remove rivet residues. Otherwise remaining rivet residues can cause corrosion damage on front door. |

| 9 | Insert window lifter (1) | ||
| 10 | Secure window lifter (1) with rivets (3) | ||
| 11 | Tighten screws/bolts (2) | ||
| 12 | Install left front power window motor (M10/3) and/or right front power window motor (M10/4) at window lifter (1) | ||
| 13 | Connect electrical connector at left front power window motor (M10/3) and/or right front power window motor (M10/4) |

| 14 | Install side window | AR72.10-P-1961SRA | |
| 15 | Install door paneling | AR72.18-P-1000SRA | |
| Check | |||
| 16 | Normalize left front power window motor (M10/3) and/or right front power window motor (M10/4) |
||
| 17 | Check window lifter (1) and left front power window motor (M10/3) and/or right front power window motor (M10/4) for proper operation |
