Check AIRmatic for leaks - AR32.22-P-8100EW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position MODEL 212
with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)
 
2 Remove cover (10) over suspension strut tower MODEL 212
with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)
 
3 Expose pressure reservoir (42) for leak test   AR32.22-P-2017EW 
4 Create access to AIRmatic compressor (A9/1) for leak test   AR32.22-P-2001EW 
5 Create access to AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6) for leak test   AR32.22-P-2015EW 
INSPECT Check     
6 Check suspension strut pressure line connection (40a) on front suspension struts (40) using leakage spray for leaktightness MODEL 212
with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)
IMPORTANT Wait for approximately 10 to 15 minutes after spraying the leakage detection spray. This allows smaller leaks to be detected (bubbles form). Larger leaks are visible immediately.
In the event of leaks:

Repair affected suspension strut pressure line connection (40a).

7 Raise vehicle using the vehicle lift and secure in place   AR00.60-P-0100EWS
8 Check pressure line connections on rear air springs (41) using leakage spray for leaktightness IMPORTANT Wait for approximately 10 to 15 minutes after spraying the leakage detection spray. This allows smaller leaks to be detected (bubbles form). Larger leaks are visible immediately.
In the event of leaks:

Repair affected pressure line connections.

11 Check pressure line connections to AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6) IMPORTANT Wait for approximately 10 to 15 minutes after spraying the leakage detection spray. This allows smaller leaks to be detected (bubbles form). Larger leaks are visible immediately.
In the event of leaks:

Repair affected pressure line connection to AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6).
