1	Drain AIRmatic or steel/air suspension using diagnostic system

3	Detach electrical connection (7) from AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6)
4	Detach pressure lines to pressure line connections (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) from AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6)	Note assignment and color coding on pressure line connections (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) and the AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6). Otherwise, the AIRmatic or the steel/air suspension function may be impaired.

5	Use suitable stop plugs to seal off pressure line connections (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) of pressure lines

7	Remove bracket (9) from AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6)	When replacing the AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6).

8	Install in the reverse order
9	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and delete if necessary

	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 11	Perform engine test run and check AIRmatic or steel/air suspension for proper operation
