3	Install retaining lock for crankshaft/starter ring gear		AR03.30-P-5000EWS
4	Remove bolts (1a) from drive plate (1) or two-mass flywheel	If no tightening angle wrench is available, bolts can be torqued further by the specified angle in a single operation using a wrench and tommy lever (1a). Do not use a flexi-rod torque wrench for tightening to angle degrees in order to avoid any angle errors.

5	Detach drive plate (1) or two-mass flywheel from crankshaft flange	The straight pin (2) determines the installation position of the drive plate (1) or of the two-mass flywheel.
	Checking
6	Check threaded union (3) in drive plate (1)	Vehicles with automatic transmission Check for damage and firm seating and replace drive plate (1) as required.
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Carry out first initialization and then sensor rotor adaptation using STAR DIAGNOSIS	After replacing the clutch plate (1) or the two-mass flywheel Menu guidance: Engine control module Adaptations Learning processes
