Check timing chain - AR05.10-P-7600SXI

ENGINE 642 in MODEL 207, 212, 218, 221, 222 

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove chain tensioner   AR05.10-P-7800SXI 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace seal.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Chain tensioner in cylinder head *BA05.10-P-1001-01L 
2 Install measuring chain tensioner IMPORTANT The measuring chain tensioner is installed without a seal.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Measuring chain tensioner to cylinder head *BA05.10-P-1007-01L

3 Remove fan unit MODEL 207, 212, 218, 221, 222 with ENGINE 642
MODEL 212 with ENGINE 642
MODEL 218 with ENGINE 642		 AR20.40-P-5050EW
    MODEL 207 with ENGINE 642 AR20.40-P-5050CW
    MODEL 222 with ENGINE 642 AR20.40-P-5050LF
4 Insert protective plate for radiator    
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS     WF58.50-P-0110-01A
5 Detach charge air cooler and place with attached coolant lines to one side ENGINE 642 in MODEL 222 AR09.41-P-6819LFD
INSPECT Check     
6 Rotate engine twice at crankshaft in direction of engine rotation and determine the greatest indicator value on measuring chain tensioner IMPORTANT This is found at ignition TDC for cylinder 1.  
    Change timing chain after timing chain stretch *BE05.10-P-1002-03A 
7 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8 Check for oil leaks with engine running
