1	Remove cylinder head covers	Model 222	AR01.20-P-5014LFD
		Model 207, 212, 218	AR01.20-P-5014OGE
		MODEL 221	AR01.20-P-5014SXI
2	Mount set of hold-down tools on the center camshaft bearing for the cylinder heads	The set of hold-down tool assumes the function of the camshaft bearing and relieves the load on the camshaft brackets.

4	Set piston on the 1st cylinder to ignition top dead center (TDC)	Rotate engine at crankshaft in the running direction. The markings (2) on camshaft sprockets must be positioned opposite each other. The markings (3) at the camshaft sprockets must be aligned with the cylinder head and lie on the left side. The TDC marking (4) on the belt pulley must be aligned with stay on timing case cover.
5	Check basic position of balancing shaft Only in the case of damage		AR03.20-P-3637OM
6	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
7	Check for oil leaks with engine running
