Remove/install park pawl mechanism - AR27.60-P-0950EWM

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove transmission with torque converter TRANSMISSION 725.0 in MODEL 212 with ENGINE 642 AR27.10-P-0500EWM
2 Fasten transmission on assembly stand   AR27.10-P-0600-01EWM
Boom crane
Passenger car engine assembly stand
SPECIAL TOOL Support fixture Figure

3 Remove fully integrated transmission control controller unit   AR27.19-P-0200EWM
NOTES Cleanliness is essential when working on the transmission.
Otherwise, even the smallest foreign particle in the hydraulic components of the transmission can lead to malfunctions or a total failure of the transmission.
IMPORTANT For cleaning, use lint-free cleaning cloth. Chamois leathers are the most suitable.
4 Remove rear engine mounting bracket INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace screw/bolts.  
5 Remove screw plug (85s)    
6 Remove bearing pin (85) IMPORTANT Pull out the bearing pin (85) using a bar magnet.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The chamfered side of the bearing pin (85) must face towards the transmission
 
7 Remove screw plug (84s)    
8 Remove pilot bushing (84) IMPORTANT Press the park detent (83) as far as possible against the spring (83f) and pull out the pilot bushing (84) using a bar magnet.  
9 Remove park detent (83) together with spring (83f) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Press spring (83f) onto stud (arrow) of park detent (83) and install both components in transmission housing (1).  
10 Install in the reverse order
