REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install
1 Remove camshafts   AR05.20-P-6992CD
2.1 Rotate engine at crankshaft using a counterholder in direction of engine rotation and place piston for cylinder at Top Dead Center (TDC) Except code (B03) ECO start-stop function
NOTES Hold timing chain up. This prevents the timing chain from getting jammed during turning of the crankshaft.
NOTES Do not rotate engine backwards. Engine damage can occur otherwise.

2.2 Rotate engine at crankshaft using a suitable tool in direction of engine rotation and place piston for cylinder at Top Dead Center (TDC) With code (B03) ECO start/stop function
NOTES Hold timing chain up. This prevents the timing chain from getting jammed during turning of the crankshaft.
NOTES Do not rotate engine backwards. Engine damage can occur otherwise.

3 Install retaining lock (3) for crankshaft or ring gear   AR03.30-P-5000CD
4 Seal injector hole with connector (21) IMPORTANT Attachment of SPECIAL TOOL connector (21) takes place by means of an original clamping claw of the engine 642 for which the bore hole was drilled out to a dia. of 7.5 mm.
