Retrofit illuminated door sill molding - AZ82.20-P-0001ESA

Installation of 4-fold door sill, AMG

REMOVING Remove     
1 Move back driver seat and front passenger seat    
2 Detach front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module and place to one side   AR54.21-P-1260CW
3 Remove outer front door sills (1) IMPORTANT Outer front door sills (1) can be discarded.  
4 Remove inner front door sills (3) IMPORTANT Inner front door sills (3) can be discarded. AR68.30-P-4100EW
5 Detach edge guard (2) in left and right entrance area    
6 Remove A-pillar paneling (4) from bottom of left and right A-pillar    
7 Remove cover below left of instrument panel    
8 Remove accelerator pedal (5)   AR30.12-P-1321EW
9 Detach inner rear door sills (8) and detach edge guard (7) in entrance area   AR68.30-P-4100EW
10 Clean outer rear door sills (6) to glue on rear door sill faceplates (11)   *BR00.45-Z-1025-04A 
INSTALLING Install     
11 Detach protective foils from adhesive strips of left and right rear door sill faceplate (11)    
12 Position and glue on left and right rear door sill faceplate (11) over the corresponding outer rear door sill (6) IMPORTANT Press on rear door sill faceplate (11) with a clean cotton cloth, beginning at one side.  
13 Insert edge guard (7) and fasten inner rear door sills (8)   AR68.30-P-4100EW
14 Retrofit electrical wiring harness (12) of illuminated door sill moldings (9)   AZ82.20-P-0001-04ESA 
15 Retrofit illuminated door sill moldings (9)   AZ82.20-P-0001-01ESA
16 Insert edge guard (2) and install new inner front door sills (10) IMPORTANT Ensure that the ribbon cable of the illuminated door sill molding (9) lies close against the panel edge of the longitudinal member. AR68.30-P-4100EW
17 Install remaining parts IMPORTANT Operation step 8, 7, 6, 2.  
18 Perform function check on illuminated door sill moldings (9) Opening the doors activates the illuminated door sill moldings (9).  
19 Remove protective foils at illuminated door sill moldings (9), new inner front door sills (10) and rear door sill faceplates (11)    
20 Document retrofitted equipment via vehicle documentation (VeDoc) IMPORTANT Attach "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001ESA " note under field organization texts to design group 68.
