Inspection Procedure
- CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).

- Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SPEED METER)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "Active Test" (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).

NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to Next Step
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SPEED METER)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on and the tester on.
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "Data List" (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).

OK : USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or normal one (See REMOVAL
).
OK: The operation of the speedometer returns to normal.
