Brake Actuator: Removal
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER CENTER (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- REMOVE BATTERY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
- REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o VSC)
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.NOTE: Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.
- Using a union nut wrench, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.
- Use tags or labels to identify the place to reconnect each brake tube.
HINT:
- *1: To front wheel cylinder RH
- *2: To front wheel cylinder LH
- *3: To rear wheel cylinder RH
- *4: To rear wheel cylinder LH
- *5: From 1st master cylinder
- *6: From 2nd master cylinder
- Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket.NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes or wire harness.
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.NOTE: Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

- Remove the 3 bolts and actuator bracket.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY (w/VSC)
- Remove the 4 bolts and actuator bracket.
