Air Conditioning Panel Assembly: Removal

  1. TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT  (See REMOVAL )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
  3. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER LOWER PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  15. SEPARATE AIR CONDITIONING PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 clips, 2 claws and separate the air conditioning panel.

    2. Disconnect the 3 connectors and clamp.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 2 HEATER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the heater control cable.

  17. DISCONNECT AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and connect the air mix damper control cable.
