Lower Instrument Panel: Removal

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
- Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER LOWER PANEL
- Disengage the 2 clips, 4 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish center lower panel.
- Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT
- Disengage the 3 claws and guide and remove the front console box insert.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT
- Disengage the 3 claws and guide and remove the front console box insert.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)
- Remove the 2 < A > screws.
- Disengage the 6 clips and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL (for Automatic Transaxle)
- Remove the 4 < A > screws.
- Disengage the 6 clips and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel.
- DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING PANEL ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 HEATER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE
- Disengage the 2 clips, 3 claws and remove the switch hole base
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 2 clips and the 7 claws and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel.
- Disconnect the each connectors.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB REINFORCEMENT
- Remove the 2 < D > bolts and remove the instrument panel sub reinforcement.
- REMOVE RADIO BRACKET
- Remove the 2 < G > bolt and remove the No. 1 radio bracket.
- Remove the 2 < G > bolt and remove the No. 2 radio bracket.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SEAL
- Disengage the 4 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish panel seal.
- SEPARATE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 3 claws and separate the hood lock control lever.
- SEPARATE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the 2 clamps and separate the antenna cord.
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the DLC3 connector.
- Disconnect the front passenger seat belt warning light connector.
- Disconnect the 2 clamps.
- Remove the < A > screw, 10 < C > screws, 2 < E > bolts, < F > screw and remove the lower instrument panel.
- REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front passenger seat belt warning light.
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the claw and remove the glove compartment door stopper.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX
- Remove the 8 < A > screws and the instrument panel box.
