Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (ABS FUSE) 
    1. Remove ABS fuse from fusible link block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    ABS FUSE RESISTANCE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    ABS fuse 1 Ωor less

    1. NG: CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESS AND CONNECTOR CONNECTED FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR VOLTAGE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    +BS (S3-31) - GND1 (S3-32) 11 t 14 V
    +BS (S3-31) - GND2 (S3-1)

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR RESISTANCE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    GND1 (S3-32) - Body ground 1 Ωor less
    GND2 (S3-1) - Body ground

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  4. RECONFIRM DTC 

    HINT:

    This DTC will be displayed when the internal malfunction of the Brake Actuator Assy is detected. Therefore, perform the recurrence test before replacing the Brake Actuator Assy to check that the DTC is displayed.

    1. Clear the DTCs.
    2. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 6 km/h (4 mph) or more.
    3. Is DTC output?
    1. NO : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 
    2. YES : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See  BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY  ) 
    NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform the zero point calibration (See  CALIBRATION   ).
