Abs With EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC System - Diagnosis: Calibration
- IF NECESSARY, PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE SENSOR AND DECELERATION SENSOR (USING SST CHECK WIRE)
HINT:
After replacing the yaw rate sensor and/or the brake actuator assembly, make sure to perform yaw rate sensor and deceleration sensor zero point calibration.
NOTE:- While obtaining the zero point, do not give any vibration to the vehicle by tilting, moving or shaking it and keep it in a stationary condition. (Do not start the engine.)
- Be sure to perform this on a level surface (within an inclination of 1 %).
- Shift the shift lever to P position.
- Clearing the zero point calibration using the SST check wire.
SST 09843-18040
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Using SST, connect and disconnect terminals Ts and CG of DLC3 4 times or more within 8 seconds.
- Check that the warning light indicates the normal code.
- Remove the SST from the terminals of DLC3.
- Procedures for test mode:
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Parking brake is applied (Parking brake switch ON).
- Using SST, it connects terminal Ts and CG of DLC3.
SST 09843-18040
- Check that the steering wheel is in the straight-ahead position and shift the shift lever to P position.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Keep the vehicle in the stationary condition on the level surface for 2 sec. or more.
- Check that the VSC warning light blink.
HINT:
If the VSC warning light does not blink, perform the zero point calibration again.
- IF NECESSARY, PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE SENSOR AND DECELERATION SENSOR (USING HAND-HELD TESTER) NOTE:
- While obtaining the zero point, do not give any vibration to the vehicle by tilting, moving or shaking it and keep it in a stationary condition. (Do not start the engine.)
- Be sure to do this on a level surface (within an inclination of 1 %).
- Check that the steering wheel is in the straight-ahead position and shift the shift lever to the P position.
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Operate the hand-held tester to test mode.
- Obtain zero point of yaw rate sensor and deceleration sensor:
- Keep the vehicle in the stationary condition on the level surface for 2 sec. or more.
- Check that the VSC warning light blinks.
HINT:
If the VSC warning light does not blink, perform the zero point calibration again.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
