Changing Oil For Final Drive

Information 

• Vehicle must be horizontal in order to fill rear final drive. 

1. Place oil collecting container underneath the vehicle.
   WARNING: Hot fluid 

   • Danger of scalding 

     → Let the fluid cool down.

     → Wear personal protective gear.

2. Unscrew oil drain plug -B- and drain the oil.

3. Screw in oil drain plug -B- with new sealing ring.

   Tightening torque: > Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.3 ftlb.)  -- Dang --

   WARNING: Hot fluid 

   • Danger of scalding 

     → Let the fluid cool down.

     → Wear personal protective gear.

4. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A-  .
5. Use > VAS 6563 - manual metering pump, Porsche set to fill oil into inspection plug opening -A-  .
   1. 5.1  The oil fill quantity is specified in the table Oil adjustment specifications for front-axle final drive and rear axle differential  .
   2. 5.2  The oil level in the final drive can be measured using an angled piece of wire, for example.
6. Screw in oil inspection plug -A-  with a new sealing ring.

   Tightening torque: > Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.3 ftlb.)  -- Dang --

7. Check oil for rear final drive.
