Re-programming instrument cluster

  1. Re-program  the instrument cluster  using the PIWIS Tester with test software version 16.000 (or higher) installed:
    1. 1.1. Carry out general preliminary work for control unit programming as described in → 9X00IN BASIC INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR CONTROL UNIT PROGRAMMING USING THE PIWIS TESTER - "PRELIMINARY WORK"
    2. 1.2. The basic procedure for control unit programming is described in the: → 9X00IN BASIC INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR CONTROL UNIT PROGRAMMING USING THE PIWIS TESTER .

      Specific information on control unit programming during this repair measure: 

      Required PIWIS Tester software version: 16.000  (or higher)
      Type of control unit programming: Control unit programming is performed using the 'Campaign' function in the Additional menu  on the PIWIS Tester by entering a programming code.
      Programming code: C4P5R 
      Data record programmed during this campaign: 0563 
      When programming is complete, the data record can be read out of the instrument cluster in the → 'Extended identifications'  menu using the PIWIS Tester.
      Programming sequence: Read and follow the information and instructions on the PIWIS Tester  during the guided programming sequence.
      Do not interrupt programming and coding  .
      Procedure in the event of error messages appearing during the programming sequence: 9X00IN BASIC INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR CONTROL UNIT PROGRAMMING USING THE PIWIS TESTER - "FAULT FINDING" .
      Procedure in the event of abnormal termination of control unit programming: Repeat control unit programming by entering the programming code again.
    3. 1.3. Carry out general subsequent work for control unit programming as described in → 9X00IN BASIC INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR CONTROL UNIT PROGRAMMING USING THE PIWIS TESTER - "SUBSEQUENT WORK"
