Installing Rear Lid Hinge

  1. Install lid hinge.
    1. 1.1. Insert lid hinge -3-  from the rear.
    2. 1.2. Screw on the two top fastening screws -2-  without tightening them.
    3. 1.3. Position the lid hinge -3-  according to the old marks, or position it in the centre position if the relevant body parts have been replaced.

      Information 

      You can check the centre position based on the two top screw holes.

    4. 1.4.
    5. 1.5. Screw in the two bottom fastening screws -2-  and then tighten all fastening screws -2-  to the specified torque → Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19 ft lbs.)+/-2.5 Nm (+/-2.0 ft lbs.).

  2. Install rear gas spring → Installing Pneumatic Spring For Rear Lid  .

    On vehicles with an automatic rear lid, install actuating cylinder. → Installing Actuating Cylinder For Rear Lid 

  3. Install rear lid → Installing Rear Lid  .
  4. Install rear window → Installing Rear Window .
  5. Install hinge cover.
    1. 5.1. Position and clip in the hinge cover -1-  .
