Preliminary Work

Pull the design cover vertically upwards and off.

Remove engine compartment cover at the left → 700219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT COVER (ENGINE COMPARTMENT) .
Remove air cleaner housing lid and air-cleaner element → REMOVING AIR CLEANER HOUSING .
Remove engine guard → REMOVING ENGINE GUARD
Drain coolant → 193817 DRAINING AND TOPPING UP WITH COOLANT (INCLUDES BLEEDING) .
