Installing Wire Harness For Backrest (Front Seat): Overview

Connector overview of wire harness for backrest (front seat)

  1. Wire harness for backrest (front seat)
  2. Wire harness for airbag
  1. Connector for control valve for lumbar support adjustment (only for lumbar support)
  2. Connector for sensor for lower air cushion on lumbar support (only for lumbar support with memory)
  3. Connector for sensor for upper air cushion on lumbar support (only for lumbar support with memory)
  4. Connector for motor for backrest adjustment
  5. Plug connection for motor for lumbar support adjustment (only for lumbar support)
  6. Connector for control unit for memory seat adjustment (only for seats with memory)
  7. Connector for airbag
  8. Connector for central plug
  9. Tie-wraps
  1. Route airbag wire harness -B-  and secure with new tie-wraps -9-  .
  2. Fit connector -8-  on central connector. → Installing Front Belt Lock - section on "Installing"
  3. Route wire harness for backrest -A-  and secure with new tie-wraps -9-  .
  4. Push on connector -6-  on the control unit for memory seat adjustment until it engages securely. → Installing Control Unit For Memory Seat Adjustment - section on "Installing"
  5. Connect plug connection -5-  on lumbar support adjustment motor until it engages securely. → Installing Motor For Lumbar Support - section on "Installing"
  6. Plug in connector -4-  on backrest adjustment motor until it engages securely. → Installing Motor For Backrest Adjustment - section on "Installing"
  7. Plug in connectors -2 and 3-  on the lumbar support sensors until they click into place. → Installing Lumbar Support - section on "Installing"
  8. Plug in connector -1-  on control valve for lumbar support adjustment until it engages securely. → Installing Control Valve For Lumbar Support Adjustment - section on "Installing"

    Information 

    Observe installation position of pressure hoses!

    Make sure that the pressure hoses are not pinched. Fit pressure hoses exactly into the cut-outs on the foam part.

  9. Insert foam part -1-  at the headrest.

    Information 

    Check that pressure hoses are routed correctly!

    On vehicles with lumbar support, check that the pressure hoses are routed correctly close to the backrest side bolster support.

  10. Fit backrest side bolster support -2-  at the left and right and secure with the four fastening screws -1-  .

  11. Route airbag wire harness -1-  behind the backrest side bolster support -2-  as shown.
