Preliminary Work

  1. Remove dashboard. → 701819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DASHBOARD - section on "Removing"
  2. Remove air guides. → 853419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR GUIDE - section on "Removing"
  3. Remove tunnel support. → 684419 TUNNEL SUPPORT - section on "Removing"
  4. Remove relay carrier 1. → 978319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RELAY CARRIER 1 - section on "Removing"
  5. Remove vehicle electrical system control unit with bracket. → 971019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT - section on "Removing"
  6. Remove control unit for KESSY/PAS. → 966619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING KESSY/PAS CONTROL UNIT - section on "Removing"

    Information 

    Only for vehicles with manual transmission.

  7. Remove clutch pedal → WM 300519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE CLUTCH PEDAL (EXCEPT TURBO S COUPE "ED. 918 SPYDER", CARRERA 4 GTS, TURBO S CABRIO "ED. 918 SPYDER", CARRERA 4 GTS CABRIO, GT3 RS 4.0)
  8. Remove brake light switch. → 943619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH - section on "Removing"
  9. Remove brake pedal. → 460519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BRAKE PEDAL - section on "Removing"

    Information 

    To prevent damage to the steering column, support the steering column with a suitable object or tie it to the side using tie-wraps.

  10. Release steering column, disconnect steering column plug connection and let it hang down. → 481519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STEERING COLUMN - section on "Removing"
  11. Remove alarm horn. → 966519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ALARM SIREN - section on "Removing"
