Preliminary Work For Removing And Installing Engine
- Read out the DME fault memory.

- For vehicles with air suspension:
Move air suspension into service position.
- Remove engine guard with transverse strut.

- On vehicles with 19-inch brake system: Remove the air guide at the anti-roll bar.

- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove front wheels.

- Remove the front wheel housing liners.

- Move bonnet into service position.

- Remove right cross panel.

- Remove engine compartment trim panels.

- Loosen the torque support.

- Remove design cover on throttle valve.
> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) - section on "REMOVING "
- Drain coolant.
- Evacuate the air conditioning system.
