WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . WARNING: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. WARNING: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction. Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement . Remove the front passenger seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement . Remove the front passenger seat cushion frame. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement . Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References for replacement and setup information.
1	Passenger Seat Cushion Pad Cover Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement .
2	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Sensor Retainer (Qty: 2)
3	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Sensor Assembly Tip: Note the routing of the wiring harness and connector location for installation. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the retaining cap for the seat cushion blower if equipped.
4	Passenger Seat Cushion Pad Frame Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
5	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Module Rivet (Qty: 2) Tip: Drill out the rivets to remove the module and reinstall with new rivets.
6	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Module Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.
