Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement

1	Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
2	Windshield Wiper Arm Assembly Tip: Position the driver side wiper blade assembly at the dot in lower portion of windshield blackout strip. Position the passenger side wiper blade assembly at the dot in windshield pillar portion of windshield blackout strip.
3	Windshield Wiper Transmission Bolt (Qty: 4) Tip: Remove the air inlet grille panel to access the wiper transmission bolts. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement . Tighten: 12 N.m (9 lb ft)
4	Windshield Wiper Transmission Assembly Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor. Transfer the wiper motor to the new transmission assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement . After installation of the transmission, turn the key to RUN position and cycle wiper system to ensure wiper motor is in the park position before installing the wiper arms.
