Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Fender To Front Compartment Side Rail Bolts

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the fender to front compartment side rail bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

Install the fender to rocker panel bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
Install the rocker molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement (Sedan, GT, GTP) or Rocker Panel Molding Replacement (GXP) .

Install the front fender bolt (2) inside the front wheel well.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Install the front fender bolt (1) from inside the front door hinge pillar.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Install the fender to front compartment side rail bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (70 lb in).
Install the washer solvent container if replacing the right front fender. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement .
Install the front bumper fascia upper support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement .
Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
Install the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
Install the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
Remove the protective tape.
