Installation Procedure

  1. Position the hood hinge to the alignment marks on the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the hood hinge to body bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hood hinge to body bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement .
  4. Remove the hood to air inlet grille panel support.
  5. Slowly lower the hood.
  6. Inspect the hood alignment. Align the hood if necessary. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
  7. Tighten the hinge to hood bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hinge to hood bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Close the hood.
