Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Bench)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the split bench seat. Refer to Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement (Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement).
2. Remove the back trim panel from the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Remove the outer trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Bucket) (Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Bucket))Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Split Bench) (Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Split Bench)).




4. Remove the lower J-hook retainer and pull back the cushion cover to expose the recliner hinge and the center pivot point.




5. Remove the upper bolts from the seat back recliner hinge.




6. Remove the seat back from the inner pivot point by lifting up the outer end of the seat back. Use a quick upward twist to disengage the pivot stud from the pivot socket.

Installation Procedure




1. Place the rear seat back pivot stud to the rear seat pivot point.
2. Install the seat back to the pivot point. Press the seat back into the socket until fully seated.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

3. Install the bolts to the seat back recliner hinges.

Tighten the bolts to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).




4. Install the lower J-hook retainer.
5. Install the trim panel to the seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement).
6. Install the outer trim panel to the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Bucket) (Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Bucket))Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Split Bench) (Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Split Bench)).
7. Inspect the seat back for proper operation.
8. Install the split bench seat. Refer to Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement (Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement).
