Disconnecting System Connectors

- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0). Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
- Remove the access panel (A) from the steering wheel, then disconnect the driver's airbag inflator 4P connector (B) on the cable reel harness.
- Remove glove box (see GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the front passenger's airbag inflator 4P connector (A) on the dashboard wire harness.
- Disconnect the driver's and the front passenger's side airbag inflator 2P connector (A) on the floor wire harness.
- Remove the quarter pillar trim (see QUARTER PILLAR TRIM ).
- Disconnect both floor wire harness 2P connectors (A) from the side curtain airbags (see SPRING-LOADED LOCK CONNECTOR ).
- Remove the B-pillar lower trim (see B-PILLAR UPPER/LOWER TRIM ).
- Disconnect the driver's and the front passenger's seat belt tensioner 4P connector (A) on the floor wire harness.
- Remove the center lower cover (see DASHBOARD CENTER LOWER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and the heater joint duct (see step 5 on DASHBOARD/STEERING HANGER BEAM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect SRS unit connector A (39P) and B (39P) from the SRS unit.
