DTC Confirmation Test "A"

Malfunction is detected when IACV-AAC valve does not operate properly. Possible causes are:

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Raise drive wheels, and support vehicle. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Start engine and let idle. Increase engine speed to 2500 RPM for 3 seconds, then let idle for 3 seconds. Increase engine speed to 2500 RPM for 3 seconds, then let idle for 3 seconds. If first trip DTC is sets, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If first trip DTC is not set, perform DTC CONFIRMATION TEST "B"  .
