Inspection Procedure 9: It cannot communicate with a smartphone: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Confirm that the vehicle is parked properly. 

    Check that the vehicle is parked in an open area.

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Go to Step  2.

    NO:  Move the vehicle to an open area. Then go to Step  2.

  2. STEP 2. Check test mode. 

    Execute "Test report" in the test mode (Refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE  ).

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Go to Step  3.

    NO:  Troubleshoot the TCU. Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 8 "SOS EMERGENCY ASSIST/INFORMATION ASSIST DOES NOT CONNECTED (IT CAN START THE CALLING TO THE TELEMATICS CALL CENTER)"  .

  3. STEP 3. Retest the system. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  The procedure is complete.

    NO:  Since it is a problem of the radio wave environment or the mobile communication device (Smartphone), and not a failure of the TCU, contact the telematics call center to report the vehicle state (Refer to "USER TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW"  ).
