Inspection Procedure 8: SOS emergency assist/information assist does not connected (It can start the calling to the telematics call center): Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Confirm that the vehicle is parked properly. 

    Check that the vehicle is parked in an open area.

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Go to Step  2.

    NO:  Move the vehicle to an open area. Then go to Step  2.

  2. STEP 2. Check test mode. 

    Execute "Test report" in the test mode (Refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE  ).

    OK: After the automatic voice flows for a predetermined time, the call is completed. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Since it is a problem of the radio wave environment and not a failure of the TCU, contact the telematics call center to report the vehicle state (Refer to "USER TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW"  ).

    NO:  Replace the GNSS/TEL antenna assembly (Refer to ANTENNA  ) or TEL antenna assembly (Refer to TEL ANTENNA ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION <UP TO 19 MODEL YEAR>  ). Then go to Step  3.

  3. STEP 3. Retest the system. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  The procedure is complete.

    NO:  Replace the TCU (Refer to TCU  ).
