DTC C1705: LDW SW circuit low (short): Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), check data list.
Check the ETACS-ECU service data.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
- Check the input signals from the LDW switch.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2
- NO: Troubleshoot the ETACS-ECU. Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 16: THE LDW SWITCH SIGNAL IS NOT RECEIVED .
- STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), check data list.
Check the LDW-ECU service data.
- When the LDW switch is pressed.

Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
- NO: Replace the LDW-ECU.
- When the LDW switch is pressed.
