DTC C1772: Alignment Sensor too far Right: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Check the radar for dirt or foreign material.
- Wipe off the dirt or foreign material from the ACC/FCM-ECU's radar.
- Check whether the ACC/FCM-ECU is installed correctly (Refer to ACC/FCM-ECU ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2
- NO: Repair the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ACC/FCM-ECU ). Then go to Step 2
- STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT THE SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
- Check the following data list (Refer to DATA LIST REFERENCE TABLE
).
- Item No.223: Current angle offset horizontal
- Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 3
- NO: Correct the installation angle of the ACC/FCM-ECU to reinstall it (Refer to ACC/FCM-ECU ). Then go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. ACC/FCM-ECU's radar calibration
Perform calibration of ACC/FCM-ECU's radar calibration (Refer to RADAR CALIBRATION ).
Q: Has the calibration succeeded?
- YES: This diagnosis is complete.
- NO: Go to Step 4
- STEP 4. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list
Check the following data list (Refer to DATA LIST REFERENCE TABLE ).
- Item No.223: Current angle offset horizontal
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 5
- NO: Correct the installation angle of the ACC/FCM-ECU to reinstall it (Refer to ACC/FCM-ECU ). Then go to Step 3.
- STEP 5. Check whether the diagnostic trouble code is stored again.
Q: Is diagnostic trouble code No. C1772 stored?
- YES: Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ACC/FCM-ECU ).
- NO: This diagnosis is complete.
