Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Troubleshoot the CAN system if DTC U0121 stored. 

    Q: Is the diagnostic trouble code U0121 stored? 

    1. YES:  Diagnose the CAN system.
    2. NO:  Go to Step 2.
  2. STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list 

    Refer to DATA LIST REFERENCE TABLE  .

    • Item 21: Vehicle speed signal
    • Item 22: Vehicle speed

      OK: The difference between to vehicle speed signal and the vehicle speed is 10 km/h (6.2 mph) or less. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction
    2. NO:  Go to Step 3.
  3. STEP 3. Check ASC-related DTCs. 

    Q: Is the ASC-related DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting.
    2. NO:  Go to Step 4.
  4. STEP 4. Symptom recheck after erasing DTC. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction
    2. NO:  Replace TCM.
