Removing the backrest covering

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

- Refer to REMOVING THE STEERING LEVER FOR BACKREST ADJUSTMENT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEVER FOR SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OUTER COVER ON THE FRONT SEAT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR PANEL FROM THE FRONT SEAT BACKREST .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE APERTURE .
- Refer to REMOVING SIDE AIRBAG FROM FRONT SEAT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE BACKREST COVER WITH THE CUSHION .
- Release all the clamps on the marked trim wires.
- Release all the clamps on the marked trim wires.
- Remove the backrest cover from the upholstery.
- Remove any remaining clamp chips from the backrest cover and the cushion.
