Replace the right radial shaft seal on the differential (GS6X60DA/BA) (Cooper Clubman models with AWD)

Special tools required: 

• 23 0 120
• 23 0 370
• 2 358 468
• 2 358 469
• 2 408 150
• 2 413 037
• 2 408 152

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove TRANSFER BOX .

Removal: 

Screw special tool 2 358 468 in radial shaft seal, until the radial shaft seal is pulled out.

Screw special tool 2 358 469 in radial shaft seal, until the radial shaft seal is pulled out.

Installation:

Drive radial shaft seal with special tools 2 408 150 and 2 413 037 into the housing until sealing ring is flush with transmission housing.

Drive radial shaft seal with special tools 2 408 152 and 2 413 037 into the housing until sealing ring is flush with transmission housing.

Check TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL and check for leak.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install TRANSFER BOX .

Attention! 

After completion of work, check TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .

The vehicle must be parked on a level surface in the workshop to check the transmission oil level.

Use only the approved TRANSMISSION OIL and fill to the appropriate level.

Failure to comply with this instruction above will result in serious damage to the transmission.

Recycling: 

Catch and dispose of leakage transmission oil.
