Oil change in the manual transmission (GS6-60DA, GS6X60DA/BA) (AWD)

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of leakage transmission oil.

Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations

NOTE: Transmission is at normal operation temperature.

IMPORTANT: Use only the BMW approved transmission oil.

Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.

The vehicle must be parked on a level surface in the workshop during transmission oil filling.

Unscrew oil drain plug (1) and allow oil to flow out completely.

Clean oil drain plug and reinstall.

Tightening torque 23 00 2AZ .

IMPORTANT: Make sure during removal of the filling/level control screw to note the installed filling/level control screw variant.
It is mandatory to use variant 1 in transmissions up to production date 08/2015.
It is mandatory to use variant 2 in transmissions from production date 08/2015.

Failure to comply with this instruction will result in leaks on the transmission.

Unscrew filler/fluid level monitoring connector (1) and fill the transmission until the oil overflows.

Allow surplus oil to drain off.

Screw in the filling/level control screw (1).

Parts: Replace the filling/level control screw (1).

Tightening torque 23 00 2AZ .
