23 00 042 Installing exchange transmission (GS6-58BG)

After completion of work, check transmission OIL LEVEL .
The vehicle must be parked on a level surface to check the transmission oil level.
IMPORTANT:
Use only the approved TRANSMISSION OIL .
Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping transmission oil.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Drain transmission oil at oil drain plug. Tightening torque: 23 00 1AZ
- Remove TRANSMISSION (without wheel alignment!) .
Reassemble the vehicle.
Check OIL LEVEL .
The vehicle must be parked on a level surface to check the transmission oil level.
Installation note:
Observe GREASING SPECIFICATION .
Required reworking:
- Remount GEAR SENSOR if necessary.
- After installing the gear sensor, it is necessary to teach in the position of the gear sensor again.
- The adjustment is carried out using the BMW diagnosis system "Service function" (teach in gear sensor).
- Use new self-tapping screws to tighten the RUBBER MOUNT OF THE TRANSMISSION MOUNT .
Tightening torque 22 32 1AZ .
