33 32 077 Removing and installing/replacing top right wishbone

NOTE: If the top wishbone is detached from the rear axle support, wheel alignment must be carried out after installation. Refer to ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT VEHICLE LOAD .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR WHEEL .
Remove TANK COVER on left and right.
If necessary, remove compact spare wheel.

Removal:

Only for right ride height sensor:

Release screws (1) for jointed rod on wishbone.

Release nut and remove screw (2).

Release nut and remove screw (1).

Take off wishbone (3).

Installation note:

Tighten screw connection (1) in NORMAL POSITION .

Installation:

Align wishbone (3).

Insert bolt (2) and tighten new nut.

Replace nut.

Tightening torque, 33 32 1AZ .

Insert bolt (1) and screw on new nut.

Do not yet apply torque!

Replace nut.

Move vehicle into NORMAL POSITION .

Tighten nut of bolt (2) in normal position.

Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .

Only for right ride height sensor:

Tighten screws (1) for jointed rod on wishbone.

Tightening torque, 37 14 5AZ .

After installation:

Perform wheel alignment check. Refer to ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT VEHICLE LOAD .
