Removing and installing instrument cluster (Cooper Convertible)

Attention!
Comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION).
Preliminary work needed:
- Clamp off BATTERY GROUND LEAD from negative connection point
Removal:
If necessary, lever out plugs (2) with a suitable tool (e.g. screwdriver Tx15).
Release screws behind.
Detach instrument cluster (1) in direction of steering wheel.
Disconnect connector (1) and remove instrument cluster (2).
Installation:
Connect connector (1) to instrument cluster (2).
Join instrument cluster (1).
Tighten the screws.
Tightening torque 62 11 1AZ .
If necessary, join plugs (2).
Required follow-up work:
- Connect BATTERY GROUND LEAD terminal
For replacement:
- Carry out PROGRAM/ENCODE .
